I love 1 and 3 - but not so much 2. This time 'round I was very much expecting a film that stands on its own, without any ties to the original continuity, so I hope Spock Prime's involvement is minimal.

Whatever it is, I have a sneaking suspicion it won't make any senseSpoiler: Highlight to viewOne of the very first things I thought of after the first one was that Spock Prime (what a stupid designation btw) would likely outline all of the possible problems the Federation could face and outline ways to avoid them. Chief of which would be dealing with Khan and his followers, making sure they remain in suspended animation. The fact that Khan is being used, or rather implied that he's being used, suggests that Spock Prime is a complete idiot.
...That's hella weak, yeah, but it's all I got. I frackin' hate time travel stories and I really, really hope that Sprime's only used in the second film as little more than a narrator. :b
Well, Karl Urban recently said that Mr. Cumberbatch is playing...

I'm betting that's a red herring, though.
