Playing Mantis Plays Reindeer Games With Rudolph

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas thanks to Playing Mantis, as the company brings a classic property to action figure "life" this month with the release of the first products in their Memory Lane line, "Rudolph and The Island of Misfit Toys". This action figure line is based on the classic Rakin/Bass stop-motion Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Christmas special from 1964.Playing Mantis has a full lineup of action figures that look like they just stepped right out of your television set. The Deluxe Abominable Snowman figure (left) features the adorable Bumble from the special. The figure stands 8" tall, is covered with fur and features seven points of articulation. The assortment also stars Rudolph (with light-up nose and Misfit doll), Clarice (with racoons and rabbits), Hermey (the elf who would-be dentist), Santa (with Spotted Elephant), Sam the Snowman and Yukon Cornelius. Each figure has multiple points of articulation and detailed accessories. Playing Mantis will also be releasing a series of PVC Keychains/Ornament Clip-Ons. This assortment features Abominable Snowman, Yukon Cornelius, Santa, Sam the Snowman, Misfit Train, Clarice, Spotted Elephant, Charlie in the Box, King Moonracer, Hermey, Misfit Doll, and Rudolph.
