The Walking Dead Have Come Back... for a Second Series of Minimates!

August 2012 - This September, the world of Minimates will be invaded by zombies! The first series of Minimates based on the Walking Dead comic book by Robert Kirkman is scheduled to hit in September, and Diamond Select Toys is already hard at work on the second series, slated for a November release. Like the first assortment, every human character will come with a zombie, and there will be a zombie two-pack to help pad out your zombie herd.

The specialty assortment for Series 2 includes:
Michonne with One-Eyed Zombie
Sailor Zombie and "Cute" Zombie
Andrea with Stabbed Zombie (specialty exclusive)
Amy with Stabbed Zombie (specialty exclusive rare variant set)

In conjunction with the release of the Eisner Award-winning The Walking Dead Issue #100 at San Diego Comic-Con, the event takes place July 12 -14 at Petco Park, centrally located near the San Diego Convention Center. Telltale Games Releases First Trailer for The Walking Dead

Reveals Pricing, Release Date & Pre-Order Offer

San Rafael, CA – March 20, 2012 – Telltale Games and Robert Kirkman, the Eisner Award-winning creator/writer of The Walking Dead for Skybound/Image, announced today that the first trailer for their upcoming game, The Walking Dead, is available to view on the game's official website.

Created by animator and director Daniel M. Kanemoto, the trailer blends 2D and 3D imagery in stunning fashion as homage to the art of the original comic book world on which Telltale's game is based. Kanemoto was asked by Telltale to create the trailer because of a "fan made" Walking Dead title sequence he had made, which can be seen at www.exmortisfilms.com.

Standing 2 inches tall, each 2-inch mini-figure sports 14 points of articulation and comes with interchangeable parts and accessories, including weapons for the human characters and body parts for the zombies. Diamond Select Toys Acquires Toy Rights to "The Walking Dead" Comic Book

February 2012 - Robert Kirkman, creator and writer of Image/Skybound's hit comic, "The Walking Dead," and writer/Executive Producer on the international hit television show based upon it, has joined forces with Maryland-based Diamond Select Toys, who will handle the toy license. DST has a 13-year-long history of producing quality toys and collectibles, many based on established comic book and horror properties, and is happy to be able to bring the book's well-developed characters and gruesome zombies to three-dimensional life as a line of Minimates and figural banks.
