ENFIELD, Conn., Oct. 2, 2012 -- LEGO Systems, Inc. today announced retail availability of LEGO® Games The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the newest addition to its portfolio of constructible board games based on the film premiering December 14, a production of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM). The company will launch a virtual "Roll to Win Giveaway" on the LEGO Games Facebook page starting October 8, 2012.

Consumer Products (WBCP) is proud to announce that it has awarded leading partworks producer Eaglemoss the global licensing rights to develop collections based on The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: There and Back Again, productions of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM). Under the terms of the deal, the licensee also has the rights to develop products based on The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Eaglemoss has already successfully launched DC Chess and Figurines Collections and now is extending its relationship with WBCP to develop figurine and chess partworks for the two films based on The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy that will launch in Q4 2012.

Consumer Products and Weta Workshop announced today a partnership under which the innovative design company will develop and market a wide range of authentic prop replicas, collectibles and merchandise based on the upcoming films, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: There and Back Again, productions of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM). The licensing agreement grants Weta access to the library of characters, settings, and stories for the two films. The first products in the collection will be unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con at the Weta booth (#3513B) in July 2012, along with a limited number of exclusive pieces that will be available for purchase.
