I know a lot of you are diehard DC fans so I'd love your feedback on my newest custom, a massive Clayface!

When it comes to Batman villains one stands out as my favorite and that's the shape-shifting Clayface. I've always thought he'd make a great build-a-figure and that's the look I was aiming for here. This custom Clayface was made using a Green lantern Movie Masters Kilowog for the base body and a Spawn Desiccator for the head. Clayface's surface was almost completely sculpted over using Aves studio's Apoxie Sculpt (yes it comes in brown!) as were the hands and head. To get good clay folds start at the bottom and work up adding rings of sculpt around the body/limbs and smoothing them upwards. His clay mallet hand came from an Imaginext Clayface toy and his clay mace hand was made from a clear acrylic Christmas star ornament with sculpt around it.Clayface's head is double ball jointed so he can look around in any position and his jaw opens thanks to the Desiccator head. This gives him a wide range of looks when attacking or just standing around looking menacing. To reduce paint rub I dabbed superglue on to the edge of a plastic baggie (it won't stick to ziplock baggie plastic) and wiped the raised surfaces down after painting then went back over with a base coat. Standing over nine inches tall Batman has a mighty foe to deal with, the villainous Clayface!

Wow, that's incredible. Everytime I see something like that, it makes me want to learn how to customize.

No offense but Mattel's looked better. There's too much dry brushing on this and his profile looks too slim. This version of Clayface should be broader.

Someone should try customizing the other Clayfaces instead of the same old Batman: TAS one all the time.

Wow, that really should be on store shelves! Phenomenal!

I really like it, great work! Though it's not really DCUC style at all (actually looks out of place with Darkseid.) It's closer to YJ or the Batman/Superman animated wave. The heavy black lines kind of remind me of the NECA Turtles, very literal interpretation of comic art. It's definitely in the style of a comic artist who uses heavy inking...Travel Foreman jumped to mind when I saw it. Classification quibbles aside, great work.

Heheheh...drubrushing...I lol'd! Because there's no drybrushing on him at all, just paint wipes and solid colors. Nice try though! I'll give it, hmmm, a 3/10.

So you only wanted positive feedback? You should have just said so. Also way to ignore the other criticisms.

That's Jin's MO. He wants everyone to kiss his ass, but turns into a royal dick whenever someone gives him criticism.

In other words, John Mallamas here is a dipshit, and there's a reason he's been run off of almost every toy forum (Spawn forum before it closed, Fwoosh, etc.).

I mean, hell...he even has an encyclopediadramatica page:
