You'd think Matty could send a more descriptive email than "as requested, we cancelled order (bleep)xx" sending me scrambling to see what was cancelled (since there's a lot of stuff being released soon). But I guess they didn't make their limit.
Did they ever say whether the main DC sub actually made it or not? I remember it wasn't looking good...
DC sub made it.

They posted an update Tuesday...
http://news.mattycollector.com/blog/2012/09/04/young-justice-2-pack-pre-...
Like you, we’re huge Young Justice fans. We watched the thermometer on the Miss Martian/Superboy 2-pack in the hopes we’d reach our production goal. The pre-order period was extended to 8/31 but even with the extension we didn’t hit the target so we won’t be going forward with producing the 2-pack. If you pre-ordered, look for your credit card refund in the next 7 business days. This doesn’t mean the end of our beloved Young Justice characters! We did hear from many fans that they’d love to see these characters in other lines (like DCU 6” in comic-book style). We don’t have anything to announce right now, but we’re always looking to make the best product possible and deliver what fans want!
Disappointed, not surprised.
Didn't Mattel want $90 for the 2 pack? Maybe if they posted a $50 cost for the set, then maybe YJ Fans would be getting these charactors. Just a terrible company.
It was $50.

Ahhh...still too much. The Rainbow Lantern Wave killed DCU for me and the All Star Assortment is a laugher.
If it had been $50(plus shipping) and included diorama bases, I may have done it. Or if it had been $50(plus shipping) and was Superboy, Miss Martian AND Kid Flash(since most of us never saw this release and BBTS cancelled their preorders) - again, I may have done it. But for the price to only include the two figures and no accessories was just too much. Especially considering I didn't pay full price for ANY of the previous ones.
Ironically, people seem to be okay with paying that same price for figures in the Joe sub. Outrageous.
Yeah, they'd charge 15 a piece if they were released as part of the all-star wave. No reason for the $20 mark-up besides taking advantage of people's desperation. Add to that the fact that you can't get Kid Flash nor the entire team with a consistent look, they screwed themselves yet again. It's kind of pathetic the denial they have at times...they don't see that overcharging is what killed the retail line in the first place.

I always think statements like this are so silly. I didn't have any interest in that wave, so I didn't buy any of them save for two Luthors for head switches.
How did one wave of figures "kill" the entire line for you?
