While I love Play Arts, I've never been a fan of Fatman /DKR Batman.

However, knowing how awesome Play Arts can make anything look and the fact its IS Batman, I took the Amazon prim plunge.

Mind you, I have not removed it from packaging yet, but he LOOKS awesome. he looks big, beefy, scary and almost like Bane as Batman and I love it. Pics will come

Follow me on instagram Rolling_Steel I post mini reviews and pics this way and have a youtube project coming.

Swift will no doubt have this soon so I leave the in-depth review to him..maybe my comments will cost HIM some $$ this time LOL

Also picked up Play Arts Halo 4 MC and Spartan Warrior..also look great.

After seeing in-hand pics of this one, I canceled my pre-order. Everything about him looks good, except the head. I don't care for how "off" his eyes look, and the fact that they aren't whited out also bugs me. But I am looking forward to your thoughts on him... maybe, as you say, you will sway me for a change Big smile
EDIT: Thanks for the amazon heads-up, Brian. I just ordered Robin, so I'll definitely have a review for him soon. Soooo tired of waiting on BBTS these days, and getting him for cheaper AND with free shipping is fantastic!

On a similar note...

I picked up the New Collector's Edition Tomb Raider Game that comes with the Play Arts Lara Croft Figure. For $100 you get the game, figure, soundtrack, DLC and some extra swag. Not a bad deal since you get the $60 Figure and more extras for $40. While the figure looked great at first, then I notice all of her visible joints: elbows, wrists, knees...are all off color. I fear these were rushed to meet the game release, which is a shame because the rest of the figure is terrific. I shouldn't have to try and repaint a $60 figure.

Bummer about your Lara. They're usually pretty good about matching plastic colors (and paint), which makes the black ball joints on Returns Batman's elbows even more annoying. I got my Robin Friday, and he is a fantastic figure. The colors are very subtle and faithful to the Robin color scheme at the same time, and the only thing I could really nitpick is the hood (which looks kind of big and dorky at times, but hoods in real life do that, too) and the fact he only has his bo staff for an accessory. Other than that, well worth the price. I'll have a more in-depth review soon. Brian, where's that DKR review? I've been waiting for you to chime in with more thoughts and don't have a Twitter account.

Hmmm. I was afraid of this from the first time I saw the concept images of the figure. I'll still get him, but I'll have to check him out on your instagram to let it really sink in.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that doesn't like the Miller Batman. Don't get me wrong, I like the stories...I just hate the way Batman looks (and many other Miller renditions).
