Haven't really heard too much about it. Is it this week or next?

Starts this Sunday, 2/12, and runs to Wednesday.

That's a bizarre schedule. I always thought it was Wed to Sun? Maybe I'm dyslexic, lol.

It used to run from Thursday to Thursday, unofficially.

It used to officially be from Sunday to Thursday, but many companies (back when they had showrooms in the toy buildings and weren't all crammed into Javits) would start seeing people early. I think our earliest appointment was on a Friday one year, but I'm pretty sure there were appointments on Thursday.

Then at some point, the show acknowledged that people are indeed human and can't go like robots, and they cut off that last Thursday since no one ever was around for it anyway. And then the toy buildings were sold and companies had to start moving into Javits, and that doesn't open until Sunday.

Hasbro does things on Saturday (like the Collector Media Event this Saturday), but they rent space out in the city and don't use Javits. LEGO and Mattel moved into Javits, which is why their events are Sunday.

Good to know! Thanks! Looking forward to the Collector's Media Event. I wonder how hard the reps are going to get pounded for the G.I.Joe Retaliation stuff.

I always associate ToyFair w/Valentine's Day. I swear one year the first day fell on Valentine's Day.

NYC hotels conveniently raise prices for Valentine's Day, so I always liked it if we could avoid being there on the 14th. Love

Figures.com already some Jakks stuff up.. MIB3, and some new m.u.s.c.l.e. like zombies, that look pretty nifty. They wil be my 2012 crack additiction, unless they set stupidly high pricepoints.
