Yes, the new ML figure is indeed amazing and looks exactly like him.

I'm talking about the character itself, as he appears in X-Force. I had no idea who he was when I started collecting X-Force TPB's a year or so ago and quite honestly assume he was just another cool anti-hero type.

After reading Messiah Complex, Apocalypse Solution and Dark Angel series, I have become a big fan of Fantomex. He offsets Wade's rambling with hit & run sarcasm of his own, while bringing a sense of class to the team that offsets Wolverine's savage nature.

His costume looks awesome, he has 3 brains and his ship is some sort of bio creation he generates which is a neat twist. While he is English with a supposed french accent, I envision him sounding like Daniel Craig as James Bond.

I don't know when he debuted or who created him, but I'm certainly going to be looking for books featuring him.

Does anyone know if we have heard about him since the Captain Britain Core arrested him?

I wasn't looking forward to his inclusion in X-Force due to his overly complex Grant Morrison backstory, but I've grown to enjoy the character due to X-Force, especially his interactions with Deadpool. Looking forward to finding his figure.

Don't know about his X-Force run, but he debuted in Morrison's run on New X-Men back when I was collecting. I believe that Morrison introduced the Weapon Plus Program by creatively altering the Weapon X (Letter) to Weapon X (Roman Numeral) as a result of Fantomex's designation (Weapon XIII). His name is a reference to the French Criminal Fantomas, and his look is similar to the Italian comic book character Diabolik.

If you get a chance, his debut is an interesting read.

Would you happen to known if his origin is included in any TPB form?

Thanks!

I'm becoming a huge fan, actually.

Does anyone know the proper pronunciation for his name, by the way? I've been wondering about this for a while! Is it "Phantom-Ex" or "Fan-Toe-Mex"?

Fan-Toe-Mex, but pronounced in a musical way, like if you had a French accent.

Thanks Mr. Tibbs...picked up and finished New X-Men V2.

Fantomex is definitely becoming a fav of mine..he's Gambit, Deadpool and Storm Shadow all in one!

Question: has he ever been shown without the mask?

A little off topic but...
I never heard of the character prior to receiving my ML 2 case. He's a great looking figure and had me immediately wishing for 6" Joes.

I've always pronounced it Fan-Toe-Mex & he's the 1 good thing to come of Morrison's run. The ML figure does the character justice.
