Raving Toy Maniac

This is one of the toughest polls ever. It took me 3 days just to decide who to vote for in poll #1. Gladiator, Maverick, Winter Soldier, Falcon, & Stryfe are my Top 5 most wanted Minimates & 3 of the 5 are in this round. Banshee & Commander Rodgers are in my top 10. What is a guy to do?

Yeah, pretty rough choice. I wasn't super excited about anyone in the first round of polling; they all felt like obligatory retreads of the big guns. I guess oddball choices like Cap Wolf and Cyber Spidey could be fun as a lark, but I hate that they're taking up slots that could potentially be filled by the choices from this round. But, gotta have some name recognition to move the merchandise with those mythical moms and seven-year-olds buying all the toys...

As for your want list, I wouldn't at all be surprised to see Stryfe on next week's villains poll.

I went with The Falcon (I've wanted him for a long time, modern or classic) and Black Knight II. A favorite of mine that always seemed unsung in the MU.

Went with Banshee and Falcon but where the frog is rest of the Inhumans? Maybe in Wave 100...

I never voted for Round 1 because I thought all of the options were terrible. I mean, they want to anchor a wave with a werewolf Cap and Cyborg Spidey? Made me want to vote for Blue Ghost Rider - and I HATE skulls. Horrible selection!

But Round 2 sounds like an awesome wave as-is! Why can't Commander Rogers be the Captain America variation for the wave? Falcon and that Cap could go together easily.

I voted Banshee and Gladiator, just because Banshee is needed and Gladiator would go well with my Phoenix. My Minimate display is almost exclusively 90s X-Men (the animated designs translate so well to Minimate form - and they made Jubilee!).

Songbird is a great idea, but where's the rest of the Thunderbolts? Or whatever the hell team she's on these days. And Winter Soldier doesn't already have a Minimate? Or am I just so used to seeing that character pegwarm?

Although I'd still like Nighthawk and Hellcat to finish my Defenders.

Yup, voted for Songbird and banshee in this round. I just gotta find some way to get a decently priced Swordsman and Moonstone off ebay to fill out the Thunderbolts roster.

I'm betting Baron Zemo is in next week's poll, probably a pumped up Thanos as well.

I'm hoping Sauron makes the next round. I really want Zemo, but I want Sauron & Stryfe more. I would also accept Slayback or Toad.

I have to say, all of these polls have had some awesome choices, and I'd be more than happy to end up with any mix of them. The runners-up from this poll could be great lineups for several waves... fingers crossed.

I must say the Dire Wraiths are an interesting choice. I have no interest in them, but they are pretty cool option.

I'd actually love Warwolves, as they're old school Excalibur villains.

Not sure who to go with next to Madrox...was hoping for Moloids (the underground people that help out Mole Man). What the frog is a Dire Wraith? This last poll is a bust for me.

Dire Wraiths are original ROM: Spaceknight bad guys, then later generic Marvel villains.

And another vote today, this time for the Toys R Us box set. AvX theme, you get to choose between three of the new PhoeniX-men (Cyke, Emma, and Colossus), Protector, Scarlet Witch, and Phoenix Buster Iron Man.

Go get 'em. Oh, but be careful; clicking on an image doesn't bring up a larger image, but casts your vote. Which doesn't make any sense other than lazy coding...

I'd love to see an updated Scarlet Witch, and new characters like Protector are always welcome. However, I think the final result of the poll will read something like: Cyclops, Emma, PBIM, and maybe Wanda. The TRU polls always seem to be a crapshoot, but DST does tend to push out the losers in subsequent TRU waves down the road. It seems weird that we could potentially get three of the five Phoenix team members and not Namor or Magik, so I think there's a good chance we'll see them somewhere else soon. If we get all three and IM (who I think is a lock, regardless), I could easily see Wanda and Noh in a TRU two-pack next year sometime.

Thanks! Wanda and Noh are the two I want the most, but I went with Wanda.

To me, the Wanda isn't different enough from the one we already have, so I went with Phoenix Emma since Iron Man is a lock.
